All Maya Soele® wooden figures have a timeless design and are carefully crafted from FSC®-certified wood. To give your figures a long and happy life, the figures need to be maintained.

Wood is an organic material, and over time the wood can dry out – and in the worst case, crack. The idea behind the figures is an eternal memory of a completed vocational training or anniversary, and the better you take care of your figure, the longer you will have a beautiful memory of your big day.
The best way to care for your wooden figures from Maya Soele® is to give them beeswax regularly.
The beeswax nourishes the wood by keeping it moist and prevents the wood from drying out, regardless of the type of wood.

This is how easy it is to maintain your figure:
• Make sure the figure is clean and dry.
• Take a clean, lint-free cloth and apply the beeswax. Using circular motions, apply a thin, even layer to the entire figure.
• Be thorough in getting around all corners and edges of the figure.
• Once you have applied a thin and uniform layer to the entire figure, place the figure in a room with a room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
• After 20 minutes, polish the figure with a lint-free cotton cloth. Place the figure back in its favorite spot and after a few hours the wax will be completely dry.

All figures are made of 100% FSC® certified wood. Oak and ash, and on Maya Soele® the Nurse is part of the stethoscope in beech.

The production of the figures for Maya Soele® takes place in southern Vietnam. This is a former Danida project with a Danish co-owner who is very involved in the daily production.

FSC® certification
All figures are made of sustainable wood (FSC® certified) and with FSC® certification comes special requirements for forestry. Among other things, that not only fast-growing trees are planted, but that there is a mix of new and old trees, as well as different varieties to optimize the climate benefit. The forest must also be increased and kept healthy.
An FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certification is a standard and label that guarantees that wood and paper products come from responsibly managed forests. FSC® certification is a globally recognized system that promotes sustainable forestry and the conservation of forest resources.
FSC® certification ensures that the forests from which the wood is harvested have been managed in accordance with strict ecological, social and economic criteria. This includes protecting biodiversity, respecting the rights of local people, labour rights and prohibiting the use of hazardous chemicals in forestry.
To obtain FSC® certification, forests and companies involved in the processing and distribution of wood products must undergo an independent evaluation and meet the set FSC® requirements.
The FSC® certification shows that Maya Soele® figurines are made from sustainable forest resources and respect the environment and local communities.
You must be approved to use FSC® certification on the products and packaging, which is what both the production in Vietnam and Maya Soele® are.

BSCI certification
In addition to all figures being made of FSC®-certified wood, the production in Vietnam is also BSCI approved.
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) certification is a standard for socially responsible business practices in the supply chain. It focuses on working conditions, working hours, wages, occupational safety and rights. The certification shows that the company is working to improve working conditions and is in line with international standards and guidelines for human rights. The certification shows that a company has taken responsibility for ensuring decent working conditions in their supply chain and is committed to working towards sustainability and social justice.
The basic principles of the BSCI system are:
• Compliance with laws (current occupational health and safety legislation must be applied in companies)
• Working hours must be legal (working hours must comply with the criteria in applicable legislation)
• Fairness in compensation (compensation calculations of the deceased worker must be in accordance with the relevant regulation)
• Prevention of child labor (legal prohibition of child labor and avoidance of unregistered child labor in companies)
• Prevention of forced labor (in this case criminal sanctions provided by law are required, without the consent of a worker cannot be forced to work and cannot be employed in an unwanted job)
• Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining (employees have the right to participate in trade union activities and should not be hindered in any way)
• Prevention of all forms of discrimination (employees from different religions or cultures should be given appropriate permissions for worship and no favoritism among employees for any reason)

BSCI

Maya Soele® ApS delivers nationwide, to all bridged islands. As standard, we DO NOT deliver to non-bridged islands, ask for a price.

Maya Soele® ApS offers delivery with distribution to private and commercial customers, or with delivery to a pickup location of your choice.

You will receive information regarding delivery and pickup options directly from the courier via the contact information you provided when placing your order.

The expected delivery time for orders within Denmark is 1-3 working days. Extra delivery time is expected for engraving. Every Tuesday and Thursday, orders placed before 11:00 are engraved and shipped the same day.

Orders are delivered by PostNord with/without delivery, GLS with/without delivery or dao with/without delivery.

We follow the applicable shipping rates.

You will only be charged when your order is processed and ready for shipping. This also applies to the pre-order collection.

You can pay with Dankort, VISA/Dankort, EURO/MASTERCARD, VISA/Electron and MobilePay.

As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop at mayasoele.dk. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you receive your goods.

If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us before the deadline has expired.

This is done, for example, by sending us an unambiguous message via e-mail to kontakt@mayasoele.dk, where it must be clarified which goods you wish to return. Maya Soele's standard cancellation form can be used to draft the message with all necessary information.

The right of withdrawal can be exercised after receipt of the order, but also before. This can be done by refusing to receive the product upon home delivery, or by failing to pick up the order at the parcel shop. In both cases, however, it is a requirement that Maya Soele® receives clear notification of the buyer's withdrawal.

When you buy goods on mayasoele.dk you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Before the deadline expires, you must have contacted us regarding your wish to return via kontakt@mayasoele.dk. After receiving the request to exercise the right of withdrawal, you have 14 days to send the desired goods back to us, you can for example use the return label that you receive by email.
The return costs 50 DKR, which will be deducted from the order when it is refunded (if you use our return label). Regardless of how you choose to return, you must pay for the package to be returned yourself.

Please note that engraved items cannot be cancelled/returned.

We only accept packages that are sent directly to the address.

You are responsible for the goods until they are received by us and are therefore also liable if damage occurs during transport. It is therefore important that the return shipment is packaged responsibly. It is also a good idea to save your postal receipt and tracking number.

Personalized products cannot be returned or exchanged. This includes products with personal engravings.
